The Trip Architect ("we", "us", "our") operates the website thetriparchitect.com and The Trip Architect mobile application (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Service.

Data Collection

• Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (stored securely via Firebase Authentication).
• Trip Planning Data: Information you enter to plan your trip, including party size, travel dates, resort preferences, dining selections, and budget parameters. This data is stored in Firebase Firestore and associated with your account.
• Usage Analytics: We use Vercel Analytics on our website to collect anonymous usage data such as page views, device type, and referral source. No personally identifiable information is collected by analytics.
• Subscription Information: If you purchase a premium subscription, payment processing is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) via RevenueCat. We do not collect or store your payment card details.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Firebase (Google): Authentication, real-time database (Firestore), and hosting. Data is processed under Google's Cloud terms of service.
• RevenueCat: Subscription management and payment processing coordination with Apple and Google.
• Vercel: Website hosting and analytics. Vercel Analytics collects anonymous, aggregated usage data.

Cookies

Our website uses Vercel Analytics, which may set a first-party cookie to distinguish unique visitors. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party marketing cookies. No cross-site tracking occurs.

How We Use Your Data

• To provide and maintain the Service, including trip planning, budget calculation, and cross-device sync
• To authenticate your account and manage subscription status
• To improve the Service based on anonymous usage patterns

Data Retention and Deletion

Your trip planning data is retained in Firebase Firestore as long as your account is active. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at privacy@thetriparchitect.com. Upon account deletion, all personal data and trip planning data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication via Firebase, and Firestore security rules that restrict data access to authenticated account owners. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Children's Privacy

Our Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
